Biography:

Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She first appeared in a mid-credits scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) before becoming a major character in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).

Orphaned at a young age in Sokovia, Wanda and her twin brother Pietro volunteered for experiments conducted by HYDRA, where she gained immense telekinetic and energy manipulation powers. Initially seeking revenge on Tony Stark for his role in her parents' death, she later joined the Avengers.

Wanda's powers continued to grow, and she played a crucial role in several key MCU events. Following the death of her partner Vision, Wanda's grief manifested in the Disney+ series WandaVision (2021), where she created a simulated reality in the town of Westview. She is portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen in the MCU.
